Opening their home to the public each Christmas is something the couple said brings happiness not just to visitors, but to themselves as well.

β€œWe open up our house to visitors to bring joy and happiness to all who come,” Lisa said. β€œIt is important to us as it also bring us much happiness and joy too, being able to build a display which brings people back year after year.”

Hooli dooli! They spend 1/3rd of their year on this display!

β€œEach year, we start unpacking the sheds in September and the October and November every spare minute we have as we both work full-time we are working on the set up of the display ready for it to be switched on the 1st of December,” Lisa said.

Never get into running the fully programmed LED's that sync to music. That quickly turns into a full time hobby.

impressive display, but there is nothing there is about Christmas (at least I did not sport it).

Hmm, not sure what you're saying? That the pictures don't show any christmas related displays?

Those puffy Bluey and Bingo Lights are popular this year. Click through to the article though, theres more pictures of Santa, grinch, snowmen, reindeer, etc.

Christmas is about Christ, not inflatable bearded old man. While Santa is part of the culture, we should not forget what is actually about.

Oh, I see. Well thats your beliefs. I think the article does quite well highlighting the charitable and commmunitarian drivers of their lights display though. Isn't it important that a religious belief can see the presence of god in many and all things otherwise it risks becoming idolatry.

But as I say this, i know I'm going way out of the bounds of my specific knowledge and beliefs, so i'll caveat all of that with the fact that religious belief isn't my gig. I'm just trying a friendly challenge of an alternative perspective in the discussion.
