Rule 4- No self promotion or upvote-farming of any kind.

That's it.

Rule 5- No baiting or sealioning or promoting an agenda.

Rule 8- All comments should try to stay relevant to their parent content.

Rule 9- Reposts from other platforms are not allowed.

Let everyone have their own content.

Just curious...

Are there people here who have an ergonomic keyboard (e.g. at work), but also use a laptop often that does usually not have an ergonomic keyboard?

Does it work? Does it feed good? Or will it be harder for me to hit the keys when switching the device between work and private time?

you can plug an ergo keyboard into your laptop. my workplace gives a person two keyboards if they need ergo. one for home and one for office.

mouse is expected to travel.

I don't think, plugging it into the laptop works for me. My laptop usually doesn't stand on the desk. I'm currently in my bed typing this.

I use both. Switching is easy, because you get used to it eventually. If you need to type a lot, an ergonomic keyboard will be a lot nicer, so you’ll end up preferring that.

It all depends on how much you type on each. If you usually type a lot on both of them, you’ll get used to it fairly quickly, easier than with keyboards that have extremely similar setups but with differing placement of Ctrl, Fn and various Shift keys.

How do you deal with the size constraints? I have an ergonomic keyboard but don't use it cause it takes too much space on the desk

For a small desk just big enough for a laptop, ergonomic keyboards aren’t an option. However, if you have a large desk but still can’t fit a nice keyboard, consider decluttering to create more space.

Alright fair. It does cause an issue though cause the keyboard pushes the laptop back and then it's hard to see the screen lol. I'll rearrange things and See what I can do, thank you :)

The ergonomic keyboard I had fit quite well at my work desk.

I've been doing this for years in various setups. Windows, Linux, Mac (Mac using different shortcuts), different nice, different keyboards. It's kind of up to you and how much that stuff messes with you. Current, long term setup, is ergonomic keyboard (Microsoft) on a MacBook pro. My hands distinguish keyboards well. Every now and again I don't myself hiring the wrong shortcuts. Part of that is using the same keyboard on Mac and Linux though

Stick with it. You get used to it, and ergonomics are absolutely worth the investment
