FreeBSD jails are one of the most useful tools for this purpose.

Once again, BSD proves to be a superior solution.

This is an interesting service. The problem I have is that I only check my feeds early in the morning and then late in the day. I don’t read them at all while at work. Weather is also on my watch face a I see it instantly. Love the service for people that it’s needs meet though.

This is quite cool, but I see nothing on how the choice of cities to include was done?

In my case my city isn't included, and the nearest city that is, is over 100km away on the other side of a mountain. The next one is about 500km away.

I also see plenty of smaller cities here in Norway than mine that are included, so this makes me think the selection of cities was probably made based on largest city within x radius. Would be neat to know how these selections were made.

You should reach to them and ask to add your city if interested:

The cities currently covered are 2937 - growing based on new countries and requests.

Oh yeah I could, I was more just interested in knowing if there was an automated selection process or something. Purely out of curiosity.

I think the article kind of touch on it but just state in the lines of "to start a new country I get a list of big cities".

I'm following my city on Mastodon and it does work as expected. You'll get a post in your timeline every 3 (?) hours. Which kind of works and not - if you're online at the right time, you will get the weather forecast. If not, that forecast will be buried by out by all those other activities.
