How do we have all of these complete reversals in literacy and education over this span, but poverty remains a mess?
The "not in poverty" ratio has not even exceeded the "not in extreme poverty" numbers from the beginning. Really the only thing that has happened is that "extreme poverty" diminished in favor of just plain old "poverty", but the "not in poverty" numbers have not really kept pace.
Probably cause it looks like poverty is measured as > $30 per day. Using a set currency is terrible because purchasing power varies so much. For example that's why there is a thing called the big Mac index. It measures how many big macs can someone on minimum wage earn across countries/regions.

Edit: it does mention that things are inflation and purchasing power adjustmented in the fine print at the bottom.
No. These are PPP and inflation adjusted numbers.
30 usd in my country is a pretty good salary
Did someone edit this in GIMP to change the line for vaccinations? Like they used a brush with some opacity towards the edges and made a fuzzy line.
Probably an attempt to visualize fuzzy data from back then
Good point. The source hardly discusses vaccines. The plots seem to come fro the bottom this page though:
