Definitely. Just getting rid of the ai summary still leaves you with Google's search results, which are SEO manipulated crap.

And the first 2 pages of the search results are AI generated scam sites anyway.

Oh, that's clever. I just add slurs.

If you're sticking with google, a better way is to change your default search engine to https://www.google.com/search?q=%25s&udm=14 (at least on Firefox. May need to change %s to something else on a different browser). Loads up an entirely separate search page to the main one.

*FF doesn't like it, but I can't get Lemmy to leave out the erroneous 25 in the middle of %s, so make sure to edit that out. Sorry.

i'm on firefox and that loaded a google search for %s

I'm guessing you put it in the search bar as is? You need to go into settings and add a custom search engine in the Search Shortcuts section. I also noticed FF doesn't format the %25s like I thought it would, so make sure to edit it to just %s.

By the way, this only works like half the time. Other times, it just gets confused and mentions it in the ai search results. Well, it doesn't get confused, it's not sentient.
