Are there any alternatives to Steam? Like websites or things like it where you can publish and purchase games? FOSS is ideal.

Its not Foss, but gog.com is based in Europe. It offers DRM free games. Lots of old games, but also tons of new games as well.

I also recommend Heroic Launcher - it can be used for Amazon and Epic if you have games with them, say free giveaways, but is great for GoG and manually adding installed Steam games. With some finicky steps I managed to get Sims 4 to launch from it. The FOSSibilities are endless

GOG.com is based in Poland^[https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/GOG.com]. Many games are available as DRM-free downloads. They have a Steam-like launcher, GOG Galaxy^[https://www.gog.com/galaxy]. They also have a preservation program to keep old games playable^[https://www.gog.com/en/gog-preservation-program].

Were you agog?

If you want FOSS you don't need a central platform/launcher, most have their own github/similar page.

I would recommend CDDA.

That's a whole different kind of rabbit hole!

It's a good platform, but it's not European, right?

Yeah, i didn't notice where the question was posted.

There's the Ubisoft store too.

Not that I would ever use it. But it is European.
