With the recent loss of a family member I have a question about their iPhone. (alien.top)

So I recently had the loss of my grandfather, and the Police took his iPhone for investigation. It was a brand new iPhone 13 that I’m sure was bought with monthly installments, so when I get it back would it be blacklisted? Or would I have to return it? Or something else? Please let me know and if this is the wrong community to ask please guide me to the correct one.

Don’t you think it would be better to ask directly the company where he bought it instead of random strangers? Call them, email them, chat with them, they’ll tell you in 30 seconds and you’ll be 100% sure that it’s correct
