I have been Apple TV user for 6 years and the previous model lasted 5 years without issue. The latest model got from last year just blacked yesterday. And it says 'recover needed'. Then every time I recover it with my iPhone it dies in the middle and re-start this process.

I wonder what could be the issue and any tips?

Same thing happened to 2 of mine. Both back up after constant self reboots all night. (Blinking light) 1st and 2nd gen 4Ks. My 3rd gen didn't have this issue.

Interesting! My Apple TV 4th gen from 2015 is still running, albeit a bit slower than she once did. Just about to hit 8 years old.

Yep we cut the cord December 2015 to celebrate our birthdays. We haven’t had a single problem with it. We’re watching the Formula 1 qualification round in Mexico of the F1TV app. We replaced the remote after it was dropped and cracked. That’s it.
