I hate that all these FOSS apps use github.

What do you mean, this looks exactly the same?
Their list is vertical, yours is not (At least in web and Thunder)
I actually did edit my post directly afterwards, so its the revision that is not coming through.

Whatever interface you're using isn't following markdown standards then. Markdown uses two line returns for the text to show up on a new line. This is what it looks like for everyone else.
Ah yes, I edited that a second after I posted it. Appears to be, that the edit is not popping through.
Hmm, I also use Voyager and it is not vertical here. Do you happen to be using iOS?
I am on Android, it seems to be, that the edit is not federating properly?
Yeah, most likely. It looks fine when I view it on your instance directly.
Several of those don't. They only have an archive on GH so they can direct Devs to other platforms.
Most of these are on fdroid
I would recommend sticking to F-Droid. At least they check the APKs.
I use Droid-ify with F-Droid and IzzyOnDroid repo enabled. Other repos on demand if I cannot find the app in the enabled repos.
PixelPlayer might be the most underrated Android app of all time, and isn't available in any stores:

It's a local music player that leans heavily into Material 3. Basically if Google were to design a modern local music player.
This looks really nice. Thanks for the recommendation!
Basically if Google were to design a modern local music player.
Is that supposed to be a sales pitch?
Believe it or not there was a time when Google made a lot of cool shit.
That is a surprisingly helpful list, thanks
