I got the iPhone 12 Pro Max, also without case or protector, and similar good condition. If you take care of your products, you don’t need any protectors.

Do these small scratches affect the display for routine tasks like reading texts ?
Looks pretty bad for only 3 years
I'll stick to using screen protectors. I hate the feel of screens with the oleophobic coating worn off.
Yeah same. This is the reason I started using them. A decent properly edge to edge tempered glass screen protector isn’t even noticeable. I buy a few at once and just swap it like every half year or year.
I use a privacy screen protector lol, basically the screen is a lot dimmer (or black when outdoors) when viewed at certain angles at left and right. And I feel a lot more confident putting my phone face down at any surface as I know that the screen protector will catch all those pesky tiny scratches (if any).
Ooof
I will never understand putting a $3 piece if,plastic over a highly engineered piece of performance glass, same thing with SLR cameras.
Screen protectors are thin and cheap, no reason not to use one and keep your screen in good shape lol
But why chance it? And you must be the most careful phone user ever with no kids or interactions with kids.
That’s why I usually kept one compartment in my backpack only for my phone
A screen protector can be as cheap as $5. Seems silly not to use one.
They made orange ones????
This is going to be all those idiots going naked on the iPhone 15. Using your phone like this makes it look like trash
Do you keep it in the same pocket as your keys? I use my 13 since 2 years without a screen protector, not a single scratch anywhere. Had my iPhone 4 for 4 years without protection and also no single scratch.
Have exact same model for three years. No vase, no screen protector. Dropped twice on a tarmac leaving my car. And my screen only have 2 little scratch
Is there a gap between screen and frame at the bottom of your phone?
