Apple
A place for Apple news, rumors, and discussions.
Same was my old 5sβ condition after 5 years of use wothout a screen protector.
Canβt be real wtf
The last best iPhone design since the iPhone 4. It's all been downhill since Jonny left.
I also have the XS and my screen looks great. The back looks great also but the metal is scratched up pretty bad.
Yeah same here. Havent tried but you can use some metal polishing stuff to remove all scratches
Mine is cracked to fuck.
My IPhone X after 6 years has small few scratches here and there
Thatβs not the iPhones original screen.
How do you milk sheep? Bring out a new iPhone and charge $1000 for it.
silver iphone x is just gorgeous
Peak iPhone design
Those rounded edges π€
I would love for apple to return to rounded edges like that. The slightly rounded edges of the iPhone 15 are better than the 12 through 14, but nowhere near as comfortable as the earlier legitimately rounded edges. οΏΌ
Agree, though not great for holding, VERY slippery
Laughs in iPhone 5S
100%
Love my dark green 11 pro. If there was a more modern powerful variant in this form factor would definitely buy it :)
I still think the 11 pro midnight dark is the coolest iPhone design ever. Iβm not a fan of the squared borders
I donβt get why they remove rounded corners, then re-adding it back into the 15 pro and then calling it a feature. They really running out of ideas
XS and 11 pro were the best iPhones ever made
Ceramic glass now scratches easier but more crack resistant
That's not really true, the ceramic shield never seemed to scratch any easier than the "normal" tempered glass, at least according to the Mohs scale of hardness. If anything, the latest iteration of it seems to have better scratch resistance compared to "normal" tempered glass.
im willing to argue X was better than both, it completely changed how people used iphones
More important, sure, but better? With how quickly Apple stopped giving it substantial new features as they focused on ML stuff that needs the A12 or newer, Iβm not convinced.
Did you drop it? If you did, how many times in total?
That screen looks pristine! I think the older generation glasses are better in terms of scratch protection, while the newer Ceramic Shield ones are harder to break.
I dropped it once, but luckily on the back. It has a small dent on the edge of the camera glass.
Had my XS only for four years, but same result at the screen. I used dbrand skins for the frame and the back, so no scratches there.
iPhone 6/8/12 owner - never a screen protector, never broke a screen. Now the charging port, I do seem to gum that up fir some reason (pocket lint/dirt probably)
XS models were the peak of iPhone design . Thereafter , it goes south .
iPhone XS was an amazing experience. Sadly it broke on me after I dropped it from pretty high. Then I upgraded to an 12 pro. I miss the thin form factor and the not so obnoxiously large camera.
Shame I havenβt had the same experience since the 12. 15 pro now covered in a protector π
the screen on the 11 i use for work is destroyed just from being in my pocket
I loved my XS. Best iPhone design ever. The thing never failed me. My 12 pro has been giving me grief for months now and is all scratched up, the XS never faltered
Have had my XS Max since late 2018 and I love it feels in the hand. The camera design is minimalistic and simple. Trying to keep it running as long as possible because of these reasons and 3D Touch π―
My 11 was immaculate but with a screen protector. It's such cheap insurance and if you get tempered glass they feel the same so why risk it?
My 11 PM looks about the same. No screen cover and have only used the thin Caudabe tpu case the entire time of ownership and itβs still in near new condition. Yeah Iβve dropped it a few times but no damage.
Fucking how? I already have 2 scratches on my 15 pro max that has a dedicated pocket with nothing else ever in it.
Yeah the same: always in a dedicated pocket it alone. Ive heard new screens are more resistant to drops but more scratchable
