I don't know much about Historia Civilis personally, but I'll just say that the laat person I would have expected to present a worker-centric history of how capitalism ate everyone's free time would be an ancient Rome history YouTuber.

I don't know much about his IRL politics, but from having watched him a lot, he does a good job presenting how roman conquerors like Caesar committed genocide and, much better than anyone else I've watched, shows just how much the roman republic's democracy was based on wealth. He seems to present things pretty objectively.
