Why am I like this? And how can I make it stop?
Those who know probably have better things to do than reading lemmy shitpost
perfectionism. learn the art of "good enough".
at least that was it for me. since i messed up the start time, i screwed up and can't do it perfectly gotta start over again at a new start time. that was the mental process. once i figured out good enough, I'd sit down at 8ish (or whenever, following the meme), not start writing immediately, sip my tea/coffee, turn on the music, set an alarm to remind me to take a break so i wouldn't have to keep looking at the clock, then start writing/working/whatever.
that's my process at least. we all gotta figure out what works for us individually.
