Maybe I just don’t use it a lot in the day but Apple quote 18hrs for the Series 9 but I took mine off charge yesterday morning at 8am, wore it all day, all night and it’s now 6pm and it’s at 38%…that’s 34 hours and still 38% left?!

The battery life citation is based on actually using it. Workouts, GPS, etc.

Having worked at a consumer electronics company it’s pretty wild how much work goes into figuring out these battery life statements. Lots of testing, legal departments reviewing and approving the claims making sure no one gets in trouble for false promises. In general companies will rather underpromise and over deliver rather than doing the opposite.

That’s great. Just don’t update to watchOS 10. My series 4 is now unable to keep up with my normal charging schedule.

My 5 too 🥲 it’s only a little after nine and it’s already at 49%. Sometimes it does great but most days it’s hemorrhaging energy.
