Because the latter are the ones who are actually doing the work and are being forced to use it. The former’s job is to just hype it up and push mandates for everyone to use it.

LLM booster nonsense.
Executives are enamored with AI because they cream their pants at the idea of being able to lay off the vast majority of their employees.
ICs are more sceptical (or at least more likely to be sceptical, the number of LLM booster ICs I know is disappointing but they are the minority by far) about it because we do real work and can see first hand that this shit isn't what it's being sold as.
Weird, the people actually doing the work are reporting that AI makes working less efficient and wrong. The people who want to replace the workers to further enrich themselves are still all-in on AI...
