2019 macbook pro 8gb of ram here

10-15 open tabs and I feel like throwing it out the window.

The build quality is solid and battery life is adequate.

I have a 4gb 256hd Dell Inspiron that is 15 yrs old, I’ve changed the battery and power cord but it’s still plugging along and adequate

Contemplating getting a MacBook m2 512gb might blow my mind?

M1 air 8gb 256gb, use it daily for web browsing and short video edits. Still as fast as the day I first fired jt up. Easily see me getting another 4/5 years out of this machine.

2018 MacBook Pro, runs hot and loud as hell and the battery lasts about 45 minutes. Still functions, but I don’t want to spend the money replacing the battery or waste my time repasting as I’ve been ready to pull the trigger on the M3 for a while which is now due in about 2-3 weeks. Ordered a new 16” MacBook Pro with the works and looking forward to it

2016 MacBook Pro 13 inch with 256gb.

This model had a lousy keyboard model and my j/m/u keys don’t work. It’s maddening and they want $700 to replace it.

Thinking of getting an air but know a M3 is around the corner and am just using my windows desktop in the meantime.

Early 2015 MacBook Pro Retina 13 inch with 128 GB and 8 GB. Still works like a charm, I can have 5 programs open at the same time and the battery will still last me around 6-8 hours. Looking to upgrade soon though.

Ones that are used at least once a month:

2021 16” MacBook Pro M1 Pro, 32GB, 1TB - still blazing fast.

2012 15” MacBook Pro, 16GB, 500GB SSD - has had the logic board and battery replaced, running Ventura well with OCLP, my wife uses it daily.

2002 PowerBook G4, 1GB, 60GB SSD - use it mostly for playing DVDs and old games. Runs OS 9 crazy fast. Original battery still lasts about an hour.

1998 PowerBook G3, 250 MB, 2GB HD - use it for retro games. No repairs ever other than a making a new PRAM battery last year.

I have other MacBook Pros that have been retired that I don’t use anymore. A 2014 and a 2010. Also a 1997 PowerBook 3400c that is non-op.

2014 mbp 13inch retina. Still going strong as my main workhorse. Been using it 12-16 hrs a day, every day for 8 years now.

Still slick and fast enough, but constantly runs out of disk space. Battery is screwed so I run it on power with charging disabled.
