It seems like the nodes I find using wishbone are small and underwater. Are they even worth it?

Never used wishbone for iron. Only crypts

No it's not worth cuz you can only mine so deep in the swamp until it fills with water

Not really. You can mine them if you want, but imo it's not really worth it. Exceptions for us that swamp is right by your base and you need a couple more iron. That said we all know a couple more iron becomes stacks of needed iron.

I've never treated wishbone as more than a novelty in the swamp, so I have no sense about how widespread iron nodes are. Should try that next playthrough.
