Skipping frames in 4K 24Hz since 17.1 (alien.top)

Has anyone else noticed missing frames or frame jumps when watching 24Hz 4K content since the 17.1 update?

I always have match framerate & dynamic range set to on. And I've always had nice smooth playback. But since 17.1 I've noticed some jerkiness especially on pans – it shows up as a slight pause or jump about every 4 or 5 seconds.

Yes I’ve noticed the same thing but only on Disney . Force closing and restarting the app fixes it for about 15-20minutes of content

Same here. Does only happen in the Disney+ app. I think it has something to do with that current issue that the app always gets stuck at the current display mode. And doesn't switch back to your default mode after stopping playback.

So you will get a screen blank out every time you exit and enter the app. And I have the feeling this is when those frame skips happen. After force closing the app with the app switcher and re-opening it, the skips are gone until I have left the "stuck" app again once and go back to it.

I haven't noticed it in 24 FPS content (yet), but I did notice it in a 25 FPS show on Netflix (frame rate switch is on). It stuttered every few seconds, and then I swapped to my internal smart TV Netflix app and it was completely fine. Very strange.
