I have 10.2 on my s7 what did I miss??

[–] skowzben@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

My SE is on 10.2, and I get half a day out of the battery. 2 hour bike ride, killed all of it off.

[–] rbr0714@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Update: so after 100% charged at 21:00, now I have 94% at 4am. I don’t think I have any problem even with the previous update.

[–] terribirdy@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Thank God! Spent an hour at the Apple Store complaining about battery life and they blew me off.

[–] VeterinarianFit4773@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago (1 children)

sadly it didn't improve 🥲 before the whole battery drain issue it was at 30% after 24h (on maximum brightness with always on), now it's at 10% after 24h (1/3 brightness with always on) and the update didn't change shit. and I'm bummed to say the least

I have an s7, 88% battery health

[–] sm00thArsenal@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Doing better than me.. I've lost over 30% after 4 hours this morning on my Series 7. This is worse than before the 10.1.1 update, and way worse than WatchOS 9.

[–] tessavsyou@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

My god I am hoping. Switched from Series 5 watch with a battery that would last a day (on old iOS) and a half to a brand new SE2 that dies in 8-10 hours. Driving me nuts.

[–] abi12a@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago (1 children)

Ultra 2….before update lasted 3 full days, after update only 2.5 days now it seems to be back to 3 days again

[–] rbr0714@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

That’s good to know!

[–] Veloxxx_@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

The same, I didn’t have any drain :)

[–] ASRandASR@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago (1 children)

With iOS 9 my watch battery lasted about 60 hours With iOS 10.1 my watch battery lasted about 20 hours With iOS 10.1.1 my watch battery lasts about 21 hours

Thanks Apple! Finally!

[–] luix-@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Fantastic now it last like a garmin fenix 😂

[–] SFauconnier@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Ah is that what was going on 😂

Thanks, will update now!!

[–] redwinestains@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago (1 children)

Oh! I thought my watch was draining quickly because it was getting old. I’ll have to update asap.

[–] rbr0714@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Update us if you notice any positive changes. Thanks!

[–] gooslim@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

My series 7 was at 100% when I got it in July and now it's at 86% battery health which is a little concerning. I know I wear it and use it a lot, but that's a big drop

[–] LeCrushinator@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Still on 9.6.2 because I can’t even think of a feature in 10 that I’d use.

[–] RedHotSuzy@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

My watch has never kept a charge more than a day. I kinda hate it because of that.

[–] flyingcats2@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

I used to be able to go well over a day on my series 4’s battery but with WatchOS 10 I can barely go a full working day.

[–] rbr0714@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Update #2: Last full charged to 100% at 9pm and it's 9am now at 86%. That's 12hrs. AOD off. Series 9 💪🏼

[–] _Inkahgono_@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Its glorious, I swear my watch lasts LONGER. Today at 8am charged to 92% and right now its 4:40pm and I have 59%

[–] _Inkahgono_@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

[–] sm00thArsenal@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

I'm down to 80% after 3 hours so far today, so theoretically it'll only last 15 hours. Not super impressed when I used to still have at least 20% after 24 hours on WatchOS 9

[–] rbrussell82@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Updated my Ultra last night and so far my battery has been worse. It wasn’t horrible on 10 for me but worse than 9, and now this update mine is bad overnight and today.

[–] InkdScorpio@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Mine is worse now. It would last 12 hours. The previous update dropped it to 8 hours. Now it only lasted 4 hours! 🙄🤦🏻‍♀️

My Apple Watch Ultra 1st Gen was doing fine up until about 2 weeks ago or so. I had not used it due to medical situation was just in a bed 24/7 and about a week ago I start to use it as I try to return to my regular routine and the watch would go from 💯% to DEAD ☠️ in a matter of couple of hours, about 3 to 5 hours and it be COMPLETELY DEAD! and that was with out even using it, the watch would just be on top of my table or nightstand and it would still go from 100% to DEAD in less than 5 hours (and I always keep the always on display turned off / disabled and about a week ago ( 11/02/2023 ) I took it to the Apple Store for review & repair and they sent it off to have it checked. On 11/06/2023 I get a email that it is in the repair center and it is being checked out and than yesterday on 11/07/2023 I receive another email stating that it is ready and I may pick up now or before 11/26/2023 or contact to make plans if unable to by date. Today 11/08/2023 I go in to Apple Store for pick up and they said there is nothing wrong with the watch I say must be a mistake or why is my battery being drained so fast and the guy tells me maybe I did have the always on the display or I would have music playing continuously or I didn’t actually fully charge it. Really ? As if I am stupid or something.. I explain that can’t be and again explain what happens and the Apple Rep just repeats that my watch passed with all green lights and if I continue to have problems I may return. I thought it was a run around since the warranty is about to expire but now that I see this message I believe maybe the update also fixed my battery problem but why couldn’t they just tell that it may have been caused by software and a update has just been released and my watch updated to this new update which fixes a battery drainage problem instead of telling me that there is absolutely nothing wrong; everything was fine with it and trying to suggest it was all me.. JERKS! Anyways I liked to believe this update also fixed my battery problem, at least it doesn’t appear to be draining as fast as it was. I will continue to observe and see what’s up.. and I’ll update with outcome. Good day to all and good luck with your devices 🙂👍

Sunrise/sunset complication is still broken on AWU 😑

[–] hb122@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Mine is back to normal with the update. It was terrible before. S7 watch.

[–] guiltydoggy@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

AWU1 here. Updated last yesterday afternoon, right after it came out. Didn't have drain issues before, but now it seems to be draining faster on this newest update - probably about 40-50% faster. Where before I would see ~20% drain during the work day, I am experiencing like 30%+ drain now.

[–] Predator2181@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Even now.. issue with disappearing weather compilations exist

[–] MrsBenSolo1977@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Fine but it was perfectly fine already

[–] AnotherIffyComment@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Prior to the update, with 10k-20k steps a day, always-on display, 1-3 workouts per day, etc. my Ultra 2 would lose about 25-30% every 24h.

So far I have not noticed any change.

[–] leoalbuq@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

I have been using apple watches since the series 3 and never have an battery drain issue

[–] australiss@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

My watch would be at about 30% after all day use and as well speaks it’s at 61% so definitely a change!

[–] Ok-Stuff-8803@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago (1 children)

I had not really noticed it being that bad but I will install and see if there are any difference. Thanks for letting us know.

[–] sm00thArsenal@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Be wary.. i didn't have extreme issues prior to installing 10.1.1 yesterday, but it is noticeably worse today - I have lost 46% in 5 hours on my Series 7.

[–] VZYGOD@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Much better. Started the day with 100% at 9am to 95% at 4pm on my Ultra. Granted if haven’t done anything with it but use it as a watch

[–] Not_Artifical@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

My 7 series never had any problems with the battery draining too fast. I wear it for 18 hours every day.

[–] No-Individual8748@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

It seems to be better this afternoon. It has been awful the past week or so. It was down to 10% after about 10 hours! I had called Apple this morning about how fast it’s been draining. They ran a diagnostic and said it was fine. Update showed up while I was talking to them. I have a Series 7 that’s still under Apple Care, but they won’t cover replacement until battery health is 80% and I’m at 83%. I hope this update helps.

[–] 2Adude@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

It was fine before then. lol

[–] navidee@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

This has fixed my issues. So happy this came out

[–] Ok_Bus5113@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Love how the fix was for “some users”. Sounds like it’s the entire community.

[–] Quin1617@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

I had no battery drain, so if it does improve battery life I ain’t complaining.

[–] BearCub1279@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

My watch lasted all day from normal use (listen to music all day). It drained from 100% to about 25% from 7:30am to 5:00pm. That's a normal day of use. It's back to normal now.

[–] pelirodri@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

It’s considerably worse for me:(

I had great battery life before, but it has worsened substantially after the update. Ironic, I know, but it still sucks…

[–] Crimson-Shark@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

I’m not going to update it… I finally got more normal battery life after the 3rd time I did a hard reset on it.. it’s not exactly back to normal but I’m happy with it so far so I’m going to hold off for now.

[–] Troxz_179@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

44% after a night of sleep tracking. It’s 11:56 am battery is good on series 7 41mm Safari feels faster

[–] RomadCV@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Battery drain is even worse with this update 😞

[–] Gievranne@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

It became worse. Specially when your watch face has complications. Fkng apple
