So I just got a new iphone and am about to set it up. I have an apple id I’ve been using but the email is… extremely embarrassing for a grown man who is now trying to be professional. I don’t have anything important on my apple id or icloud, I’ve got nothing I want to keep etc.

Can I just set up this new phone on a new apple ID and be fine? Will my phone plan be fine and all basically. Again, I have zero attachment to my current apple id so I’m not worried about losing anything, I just want to know my phone and service etc will all work despite a different apple ID.

If you go to Appleid.apple.com, you have the ability of changing the email associated with your Apple ID so that you don’t lose access to the account and all of your data. If you create a new Apple ID, it’s starting fresh so you won’t have any of your previous data tied to it. (photos, contacts, notes, calendar etc)

As everyone is saying, changing your Apple ID's email address is the best thing to do.

Unfortunately, they're not telling you how, so here are the instructions: https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT202667
