The novelty has worn out. I’d rather watch a best of at the end of the season then watch a full manningcast game (unless my teams being blown out)

[–] NegativeGee@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

They really need to get them in the same room together.

[–] Hot-Check-9@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

The answer is obvious. THEY NEED TO HAVE T SWIFT ON THE SHOW

[–] AmonRahhh@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

It's the split screen and the bottom line for me. You barely can even see the game.

[–] GoodShark@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

It's not available in Canada anymore. That can't help. Don't know if those numbers are included. But as a Canadian, I'm pissed that I can't watch it anymore.

[–] foxfor6@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Also, don't have Joe and Troy as the main announcers. They are respected and many people don't mind watching them. When the Manning cast first started the main announcers weren't good at all, so listening to the Manning's was better.

[–] Consistent_Nobody1@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Well Eli looks lost all the time and the show isn’t that entertaining.

[–] BlueberrySvedka@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Completely misreading why your show is unique and fun is just classic. No one wants to hear a celebrity interview when Eli and Peyton could be talking about the game itself

[–] Splinter_Amoeba@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Bill Burr would be a good permanent addition. Dude loves sports and can make anything funny. Add him, ditch the guests, and just show 3 dudes reacting to a football game.

[–] OvertimeWr@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

The audio is terrible. Not just for the guests but the Manning bros too.

[–] Drasocon@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

One guest a week. Ideally football related but at least a fan of the game. I think Bill Burr was on and he was great, I think the Snoop one was good too. It has to be someone who's at least sort of there for the football.

[–] Ok-Imagination-2308@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Peyton and Eli have the most boring personalities ever

[–] judrt@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

quit with the guests and have them at a few games or in a studio a couple times a year and it would explode

[–] Zolo49@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

It worked great that first year because it was something fresh and new and the team they had doing the main broadcast on ESPN sucked. But when they got Buck and Aikman last year, who were FAR better, there really wasn't as much reason to switch to the Manningcast.

And I have to agree that some of their guests have really dragged it down. It's fine when they've got somebody who's knowledgeable about football and can add to the conversation about the game, but when they just have some random celebrity who's just there to plug their latest project, it's just awful.

[–] ZombieAppetizer@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

I watch, but that's because I can't stand Joe Buck or Troy Aikman.

[–] Rad1314@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Is it cause people are getting tired of whatever bullshit the celebrity is pushing instead of football being talked about? I know I am. I'm also pretty sure that Peyton Manning is eager for them to shut up so he can talk about blitz pickup.

[–] JoeyBougie@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Maybe he because 90% of the guest suck and it was fun when they just talk manning football

[–] adlopez@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Yeah, no shit. These two dudes talking at the same time is insufferable.

[–] d_gorder@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

The only people that should be allowed as guests are former players. Anything else is a distraction

[–] moldymaybe69@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

No more guests. Literally 0

[–] The_Human_One@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

I tried to watch this stupidity. WTF?! Seriously bruh. They're not entertaining and watching two people just cheer and sit quietly at times etc is do lame. LAME!

[–] opinionofone1984@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

I love the Manning Cast,

[–] jimmydean885@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

the guests are unwatchable

[–] Double-Passenger4503@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Stop doing guests

[–] JG8AB9TL11OBJ12AD13@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Imo, it should be only a guest in the third quarter, and depending on the guest (for example Russell Wilson I believe was amazing or Tom Brady) let them stay the rest of the game

[–] saladblah22@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Loved it the first year because the main broadcast stunk. Buck and Aikman are great so I haven’t watched since

[–] Smackolol@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

I’m gonna say it, I dislike the manning cast.

[–] halfcuprockandrye@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

I like when the Mannings talk about the game. The guests can be good but other times they're distracting when I'm already with friends drinking and talking shit and trying to watch the game as much as possible. I think it is a cool way to switch it up but I don't need to watch it weekly.

[–] Swagsuke_Nakamura@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

I’ve only watched it a couple of times but I liked it when it was just those two watching and talking about it. Stop having guests

[–] Maleficent-Thanks-85@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

I stopped watching it when they brought in Aikman and Buck. It was much more appealing when it was booger and who ever else was in the booth. Once they brought in the professionals I never turned on the manningcast again.

[–] The_Donny_Lebowski@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

I wish NBC had the rights to the Manningcast so I didn't have to listen to two known perverts (Google it) in Tirico and Collinsworth.

[–] 77rozay@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

This show is intended for football fans. Football fans want to see the manning bros talk about the game, not random celebs talking random things. There’s already so many podcasts for that.

[–] J9999D@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

well it was on TSN in canadaast season we could choose regular broadcast or manningcast. Now, manningcast is nowhere to be found on TSN so I guess they are kind of doing it to themselves 🤷

[–] Justneedthetip@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

This is so much better than any broadcast. It’s odd how tv ratings are calculated . Dish network completely lost and doesn’t show fox network and they have some fix games with higher ratings than when dish had fox. No way you remove one of the largest tv providers and a channel but report higher ratings for sporting events in fox. That doesn’t math

[–] t4boo@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

they need to ditch espn and go on Twitch during thursday night, and no celebrity guests outside of football

[–] yrulaughing@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

The focus should never really get off football or the game.

[–] No_Song_Orpheus@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

We tuned into the Manningham when Joe schmo and uncle laser were the announcers. Joe and Troy are great though and much more enjoyable to actually take in a game.

[–] Unimmortal47@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Guests distract and are a little annoying to try and get through at times. It’s not a talk show so stop treating it like one.

[–] hidey_ho_nedflanders@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

No surprise, because every quarter there's a guest on promoting whatever they have going on in their life. I don't even think Peyton cares for the guests either as he's more concerned on the game.

[–] Next-Team@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago (1 children)

It’s such an easy problem to fix too if they give even one iota of shit

If ESPN can eat fines for Pat McAfee swearing Manningcast can have permanent guest spot open for Marshawn Lynch

He was absolutely perfect set against both Peyton and Eli

[–] doyouevensunbro@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Get in the same room and ditch the non-football related guests if you watch. I have enough zoom meetings in my life already.

[–] PaintingDeep3597@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

The bit where eli yelling into Peyton's ear like an OC "PLAY PLAY PLAY WATCG 7 SWITCH THUS HURRY SNAP DELAY OF GAME"

... is such good insight into the details that make a good offense run that most of us would never know about

[–] mattyhegs826@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

I think the initial magic of it has worn off. It felt too much like a tv show instead of a game. I prefer the traditional broadcast. (Even though Troy aikman fucking sucks)

We watch the show for the manning brothers breaking stuff down, quit with the celebrity guests, I’d be okay with other high level pros that can add to the discussion but they are doing their best to turn it into every other espn sports show and it’s just boring.

[–] yungredosrs@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

So boring. Rather listen to drunk idiot Joe Buck.

[–] Original_Roneist@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

I’d watch it if I had the channel

[–] RadWalk@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

I tuned in for a bit, they missed a play to show Eli playing middle school basketball or something. Switched back.

[–] BeefistPrime@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

I would love a show that had a lot of really detailed and insightful analysis from former players as the game played out live.

I have no interest in former players trying to be late night talk show hosts.
