Is there seriously no way to get a warning that your battery is low? I’d rather not use a battery percentage complication and have this info always displayed when most of the time I don’t need it. But now I realize there is apparently no warning like on the iPhone. Has anyone found a workaround?

I’m not sure what’s happening to you because anytime my watch hits under 20% it vibrates and lets me know I should charge it.

Yes there is. The watch will tap your wrist and tell you if it's at 20%.
