Hi everyone, typing this from my second gen SE right now! I think it’s time for an upgrade but I’ve done so much research and still can’t figure out what phone.

I like to take pictures but considering I have an SE I think any phone would be an upgrade. The most important thing is that i’d love to be able to take pictures of is stars! I’m really not picky with anything else, i’m not a techy person, I just want a phone with decent camera quality that doesn’t freeze anytime I open an app!

I know most people are going to tell me to get the 15, but im not sure it’s worth it for me. I literally do not care about all the random little things I am not picky! I live in Canada where the base model 15 is over 1k. So I was considering the 13 since I heard it’s better than the 14? Can anyone help!! Thanks so much!

If by stars you mean the sky at night, I15 P has a crazy good night mode and stabilization. Based on tech YouTubers, it is much better than 14 P was. So if that’s your main goal, shoot for the 15P.

If by stars you mean celebrities, stick with your SE. You would t ever get close enough to make food photos of them, regardless of your camera.

iPhone SE 3rd gen is a great phone if you like SE - it’s running the A15 Bionic chip (same chip as the 13 pro & pro max) 625 nits max brightness, 4k video , 12 mp camera (the photos are actually really nice on this SE)

A lot of good reviews I’ve read and seen on YouTube and messing around with it in the Apple Store , I kinda fell in love with it being its small and a powerhouse for its size

I have the 15 pro now , but I have grown to really like the SE 3rd gen

If you like smaller phones , the 13 mini is also an awesome phone - tons of tech reviewers have switched from 14’s etc to 13 mini and have nothing but good things to say about it

It all depends on your budget tho - I got the 15 pro and it’s my favorite iPhone I’ve ever owned - it’s beautiful and so nice to use

But it’s also the most expensive of them

You can get an SE for half the price and have a very good phone if your on a budget - or a 13 mini or any 13 for around the same price - the 12’s are pretty cheap but there not gonna be supported as long as the 13’s or SE 3
