For everyone discussing pros and cons of OLED, keep in mind the rumors are that Apple wants to use a newer dual-stacked OLED for iPads and probably MacBooks.
I think the idea here is this would provide greater max brightness, but also less burn-in at lower brightnesses. Probably also more expensive than current OLED displays.
They will probably upsell. Cheaper air no oled panels. Buy more expensive air pro with oled pro panel at $1499.
I've been waiting for iPad Pro with OLED for so many years now. Instabuy when it comes out. I have a gen 1 12.9 inch and really really want an 11" Pro. I just can't stand going from the beautiful OLED on my phone to the LCD on iPad. Even if it's a good screen on the Pro it's instantly noticeable.
Sounds great. Another major price hike.
We can skip the OLED, wake me up when you've got microLED.
How about we don't go down the planned obsolescence route with OLED panels? Yes, they look amazing, but miniLED is fine without the compromises on longevity.
I’m kind of surprised OLED withProMotion wasn’t added to the new MacBook Pros.
It’s one device where color accuracy can be extremely important, and OLED is amazing at that.

I hope they do something for PWM with oled screens. Right now the m2 air screens are flicker free and can be used multiple hours with no eye strain. My oled iphone 14 pro causes more eye strain in an hour in comparison.
I just want the new mini led in the ipad 11 line lol
I really like my m1 ipad 11 pro but don't want to upgrade to the size of the 12 ipad to get access to the mini led screen.
I don't know why they left the 11 out from the screen upgrade but I'll upgrade my ipad when they upgrade the screen on the 11.
