I feel really sorry for Justin Fields. I feel like the organization that coaching staff don’t know how to really utilize his strengths.

Even a lot of Bears fans back this. Oh, the Bears would have ruined Mahomes. That nonsense is such a slap in the face of great QBs. The fact is, the Bears have just been really bad at drafting QBs and haven't been aggressive in drafts with regard to the position. Before Trubisky and Fields, the most recent first round QB the Bears drafted was Rex Grossman in 2003.
So basically the same thing?
Fields is likely a bust but honestly this is a coaching problem more than a QB problem. We clown the Bears for never having "the guy" at QB, but the coaches that have cycled through Halas Hall are basically all memes in their own right.
Owners need to go.

He just happened to be out this week when they played the worst team. He also missed when they played a bad LV with a QB I’d never heard of before. Like lots of stats, you can’t just blindly look at the numbers.

Flair checks out. I don’t really think using wins as a QB stat to knock Fields is needed. Just looking at his passing stats is good enough alone for that….
Look at lamars mvp season. Fewer passing yards than that, and iirc, fewer rushing yards .
If not it's nearly identical as far as yardage.
And yeah, fields is definitely not without his faults. That's sack rate is an issue as is the fumbling.
Can't always judge a QB based on wins; Mahomes had a losing record in college.

It's been remarkable how many great college qbs Ohio State churns out that end up being massive duds in the nfl, stroud not counting since he's a rookie

How exactly does it count as the backup if Dalton started all his games as the starting QB, then didn't start a single game once benched?
Green Bay education is bad but that's a reach. That's like counting Tannehills wins this season as backup wins against Levis.

This ‘argument’ is such a mouth breather take. If you think Bagent is better than Fields you should have your football watching privileges revoked.
Feel like this is a bit of a stretch considering 3 of the wins you’re listing are by Andy Dalton who was named the starter in 2021. I wouldn’t count him as a true backup - he was legit better than Rookie Fields.
In 2022-2023, it would be 2-4 vs 4-17; still awful but doesn’t show that the backups are winning much more.
a 31 game sample size versus a 13 game sample size? do they teach common sense anymore?
What if you swapped Justin Fields for Zach Wilson?
Opponent PPG for Fields:
2023: 31.4
2022: 25.2
2021: 25.1 (technically he was the backup)
In the last full NFL season, 25.1 would be good for 28th worst defense, 31.4 would be 4 points worse than the worst defense.
Opponent PPG for backups:
2023: 19.75
2022: 31 (one game, L)
2021: 22.2 (Dalton technically the starter)
In the last full NFL season, 22.2 would be good for the 18th worst defense. 19.75 would be 7th.

Wins are a QB stat btw
As prognosticators have been telling us for the past couple of years, Fields as good if not better than Hurts. The data has been tallied up and he has a clear advantage....in losses.
You haters need to stop. Justin Fields just needs a little bit of help from the o-line and a coach that is going to make use of his talents and he will prove you all wrong.
2024 is the year of Fields for MVP.
It's hard to differentiate between a bad QB and a Bears QB.
At this point I thought everybody just assumed that the Bears were taking Williams using the Panthers pick
