Is Space Black darker than the black iPhone 15 (the aluminum iPhone not the Pro)? I had a black iPhone XR and the aluminum sides seemed darker to me but maybe I’m remembering wrong.

That’s an interesting comparison if you are at an Apple Store perhaps you could compare the colors. My nearest store is 2 hours away.

Why can’t they do as black as the keyboard background is? That’s actually black

By using darker paint probably

The color is called Dark Vader.

[–] TheFcknVoid@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

It’s not that dark.

The darkest MacBook ever with 8gb of ram

[–] trevortexas@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Yeah no, it's not that dark when seen in person.

Seriously? There’s an article about the 100th shade of gray apple has used?

Sad that this is the type of innovation apple offers these days...

[–] spearson0@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Curious how you would innovate it? I would have gone for true black and perhaps faster performance but I’m not Apple. Maybe this is a stopgap for something bigger coming in the future. Just my thoughts.

It’s not true black. Apple a true black MacBook that was plastic back in 2006.

[–] gaslacktus@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

It's like how much more black can it be and the answer is none. None more black.

am I alone in feeling that the space black is an abomination?
