My AVG VPN had to be deleted. I didn’t realize it was the VPN that did this until I totally deleted the app. Even shutting the VPN off did not work as it would, by itself, turn back on a few mins later.

Using Proton Vpn, no issues so far.

I VPN back to my home ASUS router and haven’t noticed anything different so far.

I was using Avast VPN and had same issues as you. I guess that both companies use same servers and technology. Fortunately, I was under money back guarantee so, I decided to switch to Bitdefender and VPN works without issues. What is more, I had more issues wit this software…
