You'd have to replace the screen to fix that. Your other option is just using it with an external monitor, either closed, or could do what some people online do and make it a headless macbook. If you wanted to try to sell it for parts down the road though I wouldn't recommend the latter

A screen replacement is the only way, it will cost about more than what the laptop is worth, it’s a 2016/17 non touchbar MacBook Pro right? Just sell this off on eBay for 150 dollars and get a new one

Who buys an older laptop like this for 150 though? I have a 2015 mbp Id like to sell off for a new MacBook Air. Just debating on m1 or m2 chip.

The same people selling used MacBook for almost brand new prices😂 like what?!!

[–] jgsublime@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Go to an apple store, open the laptop, go to settings, find the serial number, write it down on a piece of paper, roll it up, and shove it up your butt!

I know this is the obvious suggestion, but have you tried restarting the Mac? If it’s a software bug, that could fix it.

You could…shove it up your butt

[–] LMTVogel@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Boy have you lost your mind!

[–] panzatic@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Yeah if you insist on replacing the screen yourself. Or getting someone else to do it.

I would recommend updating your Graphics drivers; but I don’t know if Macs use them?

[–] pontiacGTO7@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago
