Thanks to your inspiring posts I’ve decided to homelab up with my ancient servers from cold storage.

They’ll likely be FreeBSD 14.0 to test ZFS duplication across the network.

What rack is that? I've been looking for a good little rack that isn't ridiculously expensive.

I'm interested as well

It doesn't take 2 people to assemble, but read the instructions. It's a bit tricky here and there.

If you wanna test ZFS replication, just get two nucs or other micro formfactor PC's. Unless you don't pay the electricity bills where you're going to power the. Those are slow and power hungry

This one. A little tricky if the instructions aren't followed :)

That rack SUCKS to assemble. Would have been easier if I used a drill (I should have gone out and bought one) but it took me like 3-4 hours to assemble because you have to tap each metal hole with the screw you’re using.

Ya' really wanna place it there?!

No, there's a network nook to the right of the photo :)

Perfect equipment for the heating season! There’s still FB DDR2 out there

Nice one! As a bonus, the 1950 and G5 will double as space heaters
