We have plenty without that. I've blocked every single repost bot I've seen, also any actual person who reports from reddit. And I still have plenty of content.

Lol no, the guy pre-emptively blocks anyone who he knows came from Reddit. Those are two very different things.
I'm pretty sure that was a typo and he blocks anyone who reposts from reddit, not anyone who came from reddit.
It's especially annoying when the archive post doesn't actually contain the post but just LINKS TO THE FUCKING POST. How is that a fucking archive !?
You don't actually downvote anything on reddit, only here on Lemmy, lol :D. Those are just reposts of stuff already on reddit, but nothing done here actually reflects anything on reddit.
I think the idea is that he doesn't want reposts from reddit filling up his feed. He isn't trying to affect reddit itself.

Most of what I'm seeing are actual links back to reddit. That seems counterproductive.

Agreed, but I can settle with one person, a designated champion, to brave the dark waters and bring us our daily allotment of ~~Tales from the Crypt~~ Bestof, prorevenge, and BestofRedditorUpdates. It keeps me from ever going there.
I mean...I don't mean to go back...but my hands get twitchy. I look away for a minute, and muscle memory kicks in....and by the time I look back down....it's there.....it's Reddit.
