Looks like Pauline's getting desperate and posting endorsements by celebrities who haven't lived in Australia for decades, and are dual citizenship.

The famous pumping the brakes and staying exactly where you are strategy of change.

Yes, coming from a migrant who is against migration. An economic migrant at that.

Holly Valance has been a fixture of the oligarchical right for years now. She’s married to one of the Candy brothers, UK-based billionaire property developers who make ultra-high-end apartments for the super-rich, and orbits in the same circles as Nigel Farage (the UK equivalent of Hanson). There are recurring rumours that she’s returning to pop music in collaboration with Grimes.

Not really sure I'd consider Valance a celebrity, she is only really relevant in the UK because of Neighbours and her political activism there.

I wouldn't exactly either.

The endorsements she's posting are pretty much scraping the barrel at this point (this one is a D grade celeb who hasn't lived in Australia for a long time)

I'm surprised Pauline isn't pushing to ban dual citizenship

I think she is (was?) More famous for her song Kiss Kiss. However, that's beside the point. She is not really famous any more and is a trophy wife that plays her part putting a pretty face on horrible things.

Neighbours is huge in the UK, so I just assumed that's why she's remained somewhat relevant there. Definitely a complete nonentity in Australia.

As if anyone cares what this person thinks about Pauline Hanson

[–] auzy1@lemmy.world 2 points 2 months ago

They shouldn't.. especially not the patriots in the one nation party

And yet, she thought it was important enough to make a dedicated post
