Hi all,

this is the status of the screen of my 2015 macbook pro. I have always put a lot of care into the screen, cleaning it on a daily basis with microfiber cloths, but the result is still this, probably I did something wrong in these years. I will soon buy a new macbook pro and would like to prevent the screen from the same end.

How do you take care of the screen?

Thank you

Probably can't prevent it 100%, but also cleaning the keyboard has prevented my 3yr old macbook from looking like that for now (knock on wood)

Did that screen have an anti glare coating or Matt finish on it? I think it's just that coating coming off. There are few videos on youtube of people using different solutions to get rid of that coating if it bothers you.

Regular overall cleaning. Mostly wiping with cloth is enough to prevent buildup.

Periodically wiping the keyboard and screen with distilled water damped microfiber cloths. I have separate cloths for the screen and keyboard/body.
