The ability to organize the home screen in any pattern.
Apple
A place for Apple news, rumors, and discussions.
The forbidden 3.5mm audio jack
Better multitasking of apps (resizing, functionality, I love the pop up convos for messenger and WhatsApp) and widgets diversity.
The camera needs to moved inside of phone (like the 4) tired of these lenses popping out
and another thing: I'd like very much to bring up the recent call list, touch the name and get a neat summary of ALL the recent calls with that person, including date and time and call duration. Not just for the past few hours, but the past 30 days....because I bill for my time and that would be REALLY useful.
Two things:
- Touch ID embedded under the screen
- I love dual sim, but would love even more to attribute different iOS profiles for each number e.g. a different set of apps and default settings for my work number than my personal.
Split screen
A cheaper price tag
- Ability to wirelessly charge another phone like Android
- Ability to open two apps in split screen like Android
- Autocorrect on keyboard that doesn’t suck (I got so pissed off at it that I turned it off)
Nintendo emulators.
Siri is also aging poorly.
This is small but it’d be nice to change the colors and icons of apps without having to create shortcuts for each. Also I wish I could extract the wallpaper I have to save it as its own image. I’ve had the same wallpaper for like 3 different iPhones but it’s nowhere to be found online anymore where I originally got it.
What's the one thing???????? Geez, there are so many things. Interface is stuck in the early aughts, a good 10 years behind android. How about allowing us to lock in the placement of apps so that they don't all jiggle move because I was holding the phone in my hand. How about a simple quick pulldown to change wifi rather than home screen, settings, wifi. Consistent interface for the phone so that hitting a name on recent goes to info, and a phone button on the right calls, much like the voicemail list. How about simply scrolling up the home screen to find an alphabetic list of apps, or sort it by use...
A good camera
A decent camera… similar to Samsung’s.
heard a rumor the iphone 16 is going to have exclusive on-device AI
Split screen Better PiP
A better iPhone Manager than iTunes that allows me to export files photos videos from iPhone to computer for backup purpose
The quality of the speakers should to be improved. After a while they are lower than when you first bought the phone that’s a big issue of mine
More customization with widgets.
Siri sucks, can you like read me whatever the top hit is for anything i ask thanks. I dont need website links thats obviously why i asked.
Predictive text sucks, autocorrect is actually butt cheeks ive had times where ill spell or type a word that is in the English language and this shit doesn’t even recognize it as a word.
Finger print built into the screen or on the side would be nice for a facemask world.
Probably more but im to tired to think.
Placing apps anywhere on the home screen
(International) sideloading
Forced 120Hz
Open access to the file system (e.g. connecting it to a PC or Android device and accessing the files via File Explorer or the Files app respectively)
4x1 widgets on the Lock Screen
Customization of the Flashlight and Camera buttons on the Lock Screen
Change additional default apps (e.g. photos)
Full-fledged external display support (e.g. being able to play Dead Cells on a 1080p 120hz monitor in 1080p at 120fps in 16:9 aspect ratio)
Pause and resume video recording
Dismiss notifications in one short, horizontal swipe
Everything I’ve read so far are great, and some I’ve noticed and wanted, others are things I didn’t know android phones could do and would be nice. So as not to repeat what others have wrote, I’ll throw in my possibly 2c. I would like the ability to choose whether BT devices auto Connect or not. It’s just a mess for example if you have your phone and your spouses paired in a family car. The phones fight for connectivity. If you turn BT off you’re cutting off your …Apple Watch let’s say or my hearing aids. Here’s another one related to this. If I have music playing through a BT speaker and then walk away temporarily out of range of my phone, my hearing aids would have disconnect and when in range again music switches to the hearing aids instead of the speaker. There are other examples but these two I happen frequently.
Calendar month view, similar to Google calendar or literally any other calendar app.
Split screen multitasking and universal swipe to go back like on android. Having a back button at the top left corner and only being able to swipe from the left to go back in some contexts is a bit limiting. I’m a former Android user.
I want the native in camera option to edit background things out.
Home screen customization. For God sake, it’s 2023 and app still have to be in a grid exactly the way Apple wants it
A smart voice assistant
Headphone Jack
A reasonable price.
T9 dialing and a fucking clipboard
I might get downvoted for this, but split screen would be nice. The ability to have two apps open at once is really useful, and should be optional for those who want it, and not enabled all the time for those who don't want it. You can take notes while you're reading something.
I can basically do just about everything I can on a laptop while I'm in bed and feel like wasting a few minutes on the phone and don't want to walk to a laptop, and times when I don't want to pull out a laptop.
There are split screen apps that let you do this by basically opening the website version of apps and they're basically like a browser, but it's not the same thing as having regular split screen with the ability to open two apps at once. I may be mistaken but I think Android already has had this for a long time.
Temperature gauge
SIDELOADING APPS. Don’t give me that security bs, it’s my phone I should be able to use it how I want. Imagine if the same logic applied to Mac.
iMessages to androids, lol.
Mine is a simple software wish: I want to be able to customize which apps are on the lockscreen. That's it. My dreams are small.
i have my iphone jailbroken and bioprotect xs (jailbreak tweak) implements it really well, i dont care about security on my phone i just use it to stop my friends from going on porn sites on it
Why can’t they add 5000 mah battery which would last around 2 days without use and 12-14 hours with screen on rather than “all day battery”?
Siri.
