What stands out to me is how fast OpenAI’s position has changed on all of this. They actually used to resist laws like this, but are now arguing that it doesn't go far enough.
That says a lot about how fast the risks around frontier AI are changing. But probably says more about how corporate AI looks out for their own interests before anything else.
I'm glad they bring the conversation up, but it's crap like this that's the reason people should be using their own local llm models. And the more people who do that, the less power and influence these guys would have.
