My minimalistic setup in custom ROM (/e/OS)

Personal profile: Mostly FOSS apps.

Work profile: Sandboxed apps that depend on microG / Google and track a lot.

As a new user of a custom ROM, I'm still customizing my user interface and settings. I'm also trying to remove bloatware apps that I don't need.

Oh, interesting. Any trade-offs compared to the stock system?

Thanks. Honestly, I would need to think about what features I miss from stock Android. πŸ˜… l have made a decision to switch to websites for some services, which has made the switch easier. 😊

A few things: I wish it was easier to remove the pre-installed apps. After a fresh installation, I couldn't even remove the apps from the Home screen. However, this led to finding alternative solutions like another launcher to get a customized look. In general, the Bliss launcher was a bit of a downer.

Thanks for the reply! Permanent apps annoy me so much. I’m surprised to hear of it in this case. Let’s hope it improves and good luck with the rest of your journey.

How does it run? I have a retired a52 from work that hardly opens PDFs

It runs smoothly for me. I also keep my setup minimal, which probably helps with the reduced load. The OS itself together with all the apps takes less storage space compared to the stock Android.
