Two good songs called Goon Squad that are still very good even after their titular implications have been shifted dramatically by the sands of society:
David Bowie has a song called Fashion, one of the lyrics is "we are the goon squad and we're coming to town, beep beep!"
The term gooning makes me cringe so hard. Yall like looking like you are pathetic or powerless to resist someone else? Seems like a weird type of incel begging. Definitely seems like its people trying to normalize unhealthy obsession and cringy worshiping.
