[–] random_discordian@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Try to put a phone case but personally if I was you I would buy a new one…

[–] brianbecking@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

What case is that?

A friend of mine used to work at a repair shop. He told me that if the phone is used with a cracked back glass, small pieces of glass penetrate the battery, causing the battery to swell up. Same thing happens when the back glass is replaced sloppily.

Put a case and save for a glass back.

[–] CREMICHIGAN@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Wow!! I don’t think I’ve ever seen that bad of a break!!!

This was at a Pet Supplies Plus back in the 1980’s

That back-glass looks like a trip to the hospital

[–] ChevyBerlie@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

I would get that repaired if I were you, I recommend UBREAKIFIX

[–] ChevyBerlie@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Reminds me of the time my dad told me he picked up a glass rock, and it cut his finger and it was so sharp that, he didn’t realize that he cut himself

[–] TechLionDev@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

It's an iPhone ofc not

[–] literallyfckinme@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Use any case for safety

[–] Party-Title-6281@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

At least put a cover

[–] Hunter_Ware@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

no give it to me.

just kidding, slap a case or even tape on the thing and be careful.

bonus: here’s a photo of my screen after dropping a metal cow bell on it

That’s one way to do a tear down

[–] AnotheriPhoneUser@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Put on a case so you dont cut ypurself and dont use in rain. and dont put it in water obviously.

[–] ListPuzzleheaded4510@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

It’s safe in the sense that it won’t die or kill you, but get a case or skin so you don’t get cuts

[–] Kasain28@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Why does the photo look like a terrible photoshop lol

[–] Z3r0link-ueg@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

are broken glasses safe to use near your body parts? if yes, can i interest you in this genital enlargment cream for a low cost of 99.99 x 12 month.

[–] bigdog781@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Grow a glass plate back on it then a skin then it’s like it never happened

[–] TaleYouToBrazil@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Looks good as new

[–] early_morning_phlegm@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago
[–] Current_Ad7104@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Ye just use a case

[–] chichikabour@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Just stick a @dbrand skin on it and you'll be fine, just make sure that you don't buy anything from @casetify

[–] yeahcxnt@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

If you put a case on it sure. And even still i’d cover the cracks with tape first to try to avoid as much dust and potential moisture from getting in as possible

[–] RedForkKnife@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Get a case, or at the very least get a skin

[–] MarmiteX1@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

How did you manage to get that level of damage to the phone?

[–] invicta-uk@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Safe to use but put thick tape and/or a case on it unless you like glass shards in your extremities.

[–] joseg4681@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Put a piece of tape over the entire back area of the phone so stop any pieces frrom falling out.

better yet, get the back glass replaced

[–] EcoMarxwhatitis@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

This is what happens when you use casetify

[–] Wicked_Wolf17@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Put it in a case, otherwise you could potentially cut yourself on that glass

[–] Narrow-Particular-78@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

With a case, yes

[–] udayhd@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

omg, the damage a persons’ iPhone takes, and it still works is amazing

[–] szeddit@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

skinWrap + case n go

[–] AceDuce23@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Just put some clear tape on the back and you'll be fine

[–] kylebloom@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Hell no. Get that back glass replaced please

[–] kniikol@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

I’m assuming you don’t have AppleCare. Why do people continue to walk around with phone like this when it’s only $30 to fix it?
