Merely a scratch u good to go

[–] Kitty_Fruit_2520@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

I would go get it either fixed or replaced

[–] Janneske_2001@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Put a case on it and don’t get it wet, should be fine for the rest. There are chances of dust and moisture coming in, but what you could do is perhaps put a big piece of tape on it to sorta prevent that as well. Best thing is of course to get it fixed.

I’ve dropped my phones so many times but the worse damage I’ve ever done was some dents. No idea how people get these phones look like this

[–] miggywiggyjiggy@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Is this a 15?

[–] dkay170@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Just use a cover

[–] diamari90@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Uhhh… yeah, just use a case dude 😂

[–] Crack_uv_N0on@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Unless a case is as air tight as the cover that comes with the iPhone, I would have it replaced.

[–] Mimi_L@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

You just need a case

[–] G1zU@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Put some case on and you are fine

[–] _prisoner24601__@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Just get it fixed

[–] collegegoy@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

I wouldn’t eat it

[–] Omie-Wan-Kenobi@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Get a dbrand vinyl and a transparent case. Will look as new

[–] Chaoticqueen19@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Personally that level of damage I would just get the back glass replaced. But some kind of waterproof case like a lifeproof one should work too as I imagine any level of moisture in there will fuck that phone up

[–] Only1Schematic@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Put it in some rice overnight and it should be fine

[–] tygrio@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

It’s just a flesh wound!!!

[–] blue_goon@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Did this to mine. Slapped a black carbon fiber skin on the back and a case and i honestly forget it’s there

[–] Johntendo64@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Don’t ever let it get it wet, but I would just put a case on it if you can’t afford to get it replaced (the back glass) depending on your model it may not be super expensive to do if it’s like a 12 Pro Max or 13 Pro Max

[–] geekbarman@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Cases are $5 at Walmart fyi

[–] AlienMajik@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

I would just replace the back glass myself

[–] sunkissedmermaid@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

This reminds me of Ariana Grande’s iPhone lol she posted a mirror selfie one day and I had to do a deep dive because ain’t no way that’s her cracked phone, maybe a weird phone case. But it is 😭

[–] teriases@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

As safe as wearing a pair of sandals made of pieces of broken glass

[–] marcelocampiglia@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

No, it is not.

[–] vcrtech@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

How many times was it ran over?

[–] 3cats-in-a-coat@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

I really love Apple, despite all their less than stellar or honest moments, when it comes to internal engineering, quality, pricing, right to repair and so on. I love em despite that. Because they bring to this world know-how about how to build platforms and ecosystems, how to have discipline in creating products that's completely missing in the rest of the world.

But god damn it the materials they use to make smartphones are like the dimmest most random bullshit I've ever seen. Why GLASS BACK m**** f*****s? WHY?

And don't tell me "because antenna". Guess what doesn't break when you drop it, and lets signal through?! We have tons of it.

[–] Texas12thMan@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Okay NOW I’ll put a case on it I guess..

[–] Alphabetcityjedi@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Absolutely, Apple has integrated a special anti cutting coating to keep your fingers and face safe from cuts and nicks. 😏

[–] Hats_On_Chickens@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Steve Jobs will come out of his grave and slap you, then go back to bed

[–] Roberthen_Kazisvet@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

sure ehy nig

[–] SallySunrise@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Why was there no case on this in the first place?

[–] Thetomwhite@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Try putting it in a bag of rice

[–] beanie_0@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

With a case, yeah can’t see why not. Probably best to replace the back though.

[–] Lollooo_@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Slap a case on that bad boy and you’re good to go

[–] diorisdash@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

fix it my xr is like that and if your phone comes in any contact of water it will damage by going thru that back glass

[–] DrGashingtons@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Yes it’s fine. Every single 12-16 yo phone looks like this xD

[–] ryanb450@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Are you really asking if broken glass is safe? 😂

[–] The_Cozy_Burrito@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Did you run it over with a car?

[–] Bagantil@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Use a skin :) will probably look like new :D

[–] Horror-Ad1448@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Put it in a case and it should be okay.
