I look around the team and we don't have too many glaring weaknesses. Our coaching is that garbage.

Where is this talent?

QB- Below Avg Starter

LT- I will pretend along Below Avg to Avg starter

WR1- A top 10-15 guy maybe sneaks into the bottom of the top 10.

Edge/DE- A 10-15 guy that has been on the team 2 weeks

CB1- A 5-10 guy

WR2- 70+ range

CB2- Better left unsaid despite the resources spent

RT- Shows promise but still making Rookie mistakes

Of the premium positions none are clear top 5. 3 5-15 range. 2 positions that currently lack any talent. That is not a lot of talent.

Wow what a hot take! I'm pretty sure nobody here has thought of this yet! I wonder if there are any other posts saying exactly this?

There's no way flus is back next year. Every time they manage to put a decent game plan together, they stitch it right when they get a lead and immediately piss down their leg. He's fucking atrocious.

I agree with this, but only to a certain point.

I think people often interpret this as “well if we just had ___ position right we’d be 8-3 instead of 3-8!!!” Although some idiots do actually believe that, most know it’s nothing more than a fantasy.

But with that being said, I absolutely believe this team has more talent than just 3 wins. Not drastically more, but more nonetheless. If we close that Lions game and Broncos game out properly, we’re sitting here at 5-6 and the conversation is way different even though that record isn’t that impressive either.

In a nutshell, yes the team is lacking in lots of areas for many reason. But they absolutely had the talent and ability to win 2-3 more games this year. They just faltered horribly in both coaching and execution, it was not just “those guys just have the better roster” like last year.

Depth is the largest weakness on the team. Whenever 1 person went down it became a weakness.

Coaches are usually blamed for the ineptness of the team, typically unfairly. But there are a few things that you can directly attribute to coaching; Preparedness, discipline, energy and attitude are all directly linked to coaching. And more often than not this team comes out flat, commits penalties, looks completely unprepared and appears to be waiting for the game to win.

This is why I believe Eberflus needs to go. I thought the team played hard last year, and despite their record they were far from the worst team in the league. But this year has been pretty embarrassing and it started with Week 1 against a below average Packers team.
