Maybe it has a MagSafe ring glued to it. ESR makes pretty good ones. Charging through qi I guess

[–] Appropriate-Sir-1100@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

That’s megsafe charger , it got magnet inside the iPhone . If your cover is too think then it doesn’t stick with magnet .

[–] vmbient@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Magnets, how do they work?

[–] simonmann245@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Oh dear, if this is an Apple graphic, standards really are slipping. Probably designed by an Android user with no interest in Apple models

Maybe a MagSafe cover for SE

[–] junkstar23@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

How do you mean it's magsafe

[–] DogD666@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

I mean there are rings to buy to get MagSafe on other devices. If a Samsung and pixel can have them why not se

Perhaps they put those cheap magsafe "rings" behind the phone so it can attach itself to magsafe chargers/accessories. Y'know those metal rings you stick with double sided tape.

Snap3pro or snap4luxe. Best phone grip I’ve used. I gave the 4 on my 15pro. Thinner than the camera bump and allows MagSafe charging through the grip. The grip also has nano suction cups on the phone side so if you place it exactly in the right spot you can add “MagSafe” to any iPhone or any phone.

The snap4luxe is pretty damn comfortable to use. You can do 1 finger or 2 finger style.

I hate pop sockets because of the bulk but this thin lil thing is awesome and worth the price imo.

If this is an ad by Apple, they likely offer in the store an SE case with MagSafe magnets built in.

Kind of unrelated but you can set up different standby modes if you have more than one MagSafe charger but who really has more than one?

Don't think. It'd be hard to sell the same housing a third time. Also, there are rumors of the SE4 to receive the iPhone 14 housing this making the SE3 the last one to provide TouchID.

[–] CVGPi@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

I hope they have an under-display or side sensor.

[–] Sour_Gamer@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago (1 children)

They’ll probably add a pin hole camera, and move the Touch ID to the side

[–] confused-redpanda@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Doesn't seem logical. All the SE devices so far has used housing of older models (iPhone 5S and 8) thus making the devices cheap. The SE series always used already existing parts and housing. A device with a TouchID-inegrated power button would mean a new housing never seen before and a new assembly line. That would make the SE4 too expensive to make it worth.

[–] neofooturism@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago (1 children)

yeah was just joking, i think it would be infuriating having the same design that has existed for a decade. but also the next SE will obviously be more expensive when they redesign it, probably 499

[–] confused-redpanda@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago (1 children)

I think an extra 100 bucks will be the least of its problems. I use an iPhone 11 now and I find it too big. The SE and 12/13 mini had great size and both are ceased.

[–] neofooturism@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

i understand, i prefer smaller phones too because i like them pocketable. but well, the market dictates large phones so here we are

[–] far_dim_bledram@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago (1 children)

I hope it gets a 13 mini look instead cuz the whole point of the SE is a smaller phone with up to date chip but older display and other hardware

[–] confused-redpanda@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago (1 children)

I'd love that. Unfortunately, rumors are about the 14. Too bad.

[–] far_dim_bledram@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

It was a bit too much wishful thinking but hey finally an iPhone SE without a homebutton

[–] far_dim_bledram@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago (1 children)

Stg if the SE 4 has a homebutton apple have really gone stagnant

[–] CVGPi@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Imagine if the SE4 have dynamic island... and a hole-punch, "Dynamic Home"

[–] KenRodriguezz@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Apple Tips app uses your device model as reference, to keep it familiar

That’s an older phone that doesn’t support MagSafe (iPhones 12 and newer support it)

[–] CREMICHIGAN@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago
[–] Skibbidybeebop@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

How do I turn this on?

[–] Plastic-Mess-3959@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago (1 children)
[–] far_dim_bledram@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago (1 children)

Look at the device in question it doesnt have magsafe

[–] Plastic-Mess-3959@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

My bad you’re right. I didn’t even notice that. I’m so used to iPhones not having a home button

[–] moistpup@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Can’t. Resist…. Must. Not…. Oh god here it comes… MAGNETS. HOW DO THEY WORK?
