How many of you guys wear your AW 24/7? I’ve been only wearing it as a watch. Not really even working out in it since I have Whoop but I’m interested in utilizing more of the features such as HRV, V2O, etc. but I feel like I will have to wear it 24/7. I usually only wear my AW only during work.

I do, but I really do wish sleep tracking was better. I sleep through my alarm a lot but it always says I got up at 9:30. I’d love if it noticed and tracked naps as well

[–] Whiplash104@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Nope. I don't sleep with it on. Sometimes I don't even wear it on weekends or vacation.

[–] Ok-Shake5152@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

So people only take it off when showering?

What about sex ?

😂

[–] DCowboysCR@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

23 out of 24 hours. Gotta charge 1 hour lol.

[–] CaptainCAAAVEMAAAAAN@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

23/7

I take it off when I'm showering, but otherwise I'm wearing it.

[–] hughiesghost@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

I wear it 24/7. Charge it once a day. I wear it for health and sleep tracking, exercise, and messages notification.

[–] Ke77elrun@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

I wear it every minute except for a short charge before bed to top up. I consider it as integral as Jean Luc’s communicator patch on his uniform.

[–] notorioustph@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

yep! unless it’s charging and i leave the house and forget to put back on

[–] cbelt3@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Yes… sleep tracking and then PO tracking during the day was important to me.

[–] aki7657@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Yup, usually charge it while showering and let it charge to a 100%. Other than that it’s always on my wrist

[–] Extension_Can_2973@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Yes. The battery has been dead since April

[–] BlackSoapBandit@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Once i get a water proof and shockproof case.

I’ll probably almost never take it off. Right now im paranoid of it hitting against stuff or me cracking the screen while sleeping. Or water messing it up while I shower

[–] FloorShowoff@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Battery won’t allow it

[–] HelloKitTy1030@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Me. I only take it off every 2-2.5 days to charge it.

[–] rademradem@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

As soon as its silent alarm wakes me up in the morning I put it on the charger. It stays there until I finish my morning getting ready routine, shower, get dressed, eat breakfast, etc. I take it off the charger and put it back on right after breakfast every day. Other than that it is on my wrist about 23 hours a day.

[–] crazygrog89@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

I wear it once every two weeks nowadays… I don’t need it really

[–] roiroi1010@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

I usually only charge it when I shower in the morning or an extra charge as needed when I work in front of the computer

[–] Classic-Box-3919@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

I wear it probs 22-23 hours a day. I let it charge while i shower and a bit after

[–] Outrageous_Fix_9484@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

I wear mine 24X7 except when shower or it needs charging.

[–] wiggum55555@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

I have for a few years now... since early, mid 2020.

I wear at night for sleep tracking with the SleepWatch app. really helped me with measuring and then fixing my sleeping patterns. Huge benefit to get sleep right in your life.

Charge watch in the mornings while I'm getting ready (shower, breakfast etc). Series 6 with Solo Braided Loop. so comfortable and I genuinely could not tell if I was wearing the watch or not at any time (by feel)

I just last week treated myself to an update with an Ultra 2 and was worried it would be TOO BIG for sleeping comfortably. So far it's not an issue at all. The only difference I notice is the "sharp edge" on the Ultra, compared to the rounded edges of the Series watches... means I can feel the watch dragging against the sheets under the pillow when I move... weird to describe and it's not really an issue... but a noticeable difference... probably after a couple more weeks I won't even notice. I have the TRAIL LOOP that came with the watch and it's very comfortable, equivalent to the BRAIDED LOOP I would say.

[–] bsgillis@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

No. It requires charging at least every two days.

[–] kcaio@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

I charge it in the morning when I’m having breakfast and again before I go to bed. I wear it as much as possible because of my afib and to monitor my sleep. Then there’s exercise, text and call alerts, feedback when I’m driving with maps, and sometimes I want to know what the time and temp is. And I’m sure I’m forgetting something.

[–] oh_father@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

My APU1 last 2.5-3 days on a charge so I use it till it alerts me to charge. Charging takes like 15 mins. So it works perfectly.

[–] jennysashes@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

I only take it off to charge it

[–] BagMuted9499@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Nope. I wear it 22.5/7 1.5hrs for charging SE Gen2

[–] TricksterSprials@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

I would but my aw4 is starting to die

[–] SlippingStar@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

It’s really helped me - I have ADHD so setting timers, reminders, staying off my phone, etc has been really helpful. Has unironically been a utility purchase for me vs a fun purchase like a gaming console.

[–] EBOD236@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Wear it 24/7 and track all health analytics in the Athlytic app

[–] Cameront9@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Only ever comes off to charge.

[–] SnooPeanuts5753@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Oura ring at night for the sleep tracking, charge when I’m showering then watch goes on for the rest of the day. I bought the Oura a few years ago and don’t want to break the streak. If the ring gives up the ghost then it’s watch all day every day.

[–] NomusaMagic@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Serious question: As RN, 1000% agree w/sleep science + health benefits. I do NOT get hyper-focus on sleep tracking EVERY day. Why track so much + what action do ppl take w/that data?

[–] strawberryjxmmm@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

My apple watch's batter wont let me

[–] redditonthanet@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Only comes off to be charged before bed

[–] EmondaBlue@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

I wear mine 24/7 unless it needs a charge or I’m wearing my Grand Seiko for a dressier occasion.

[–] mr_vestan_pance@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

I take it off at night. Wore it at night for a few weeks to check my sleep patterns but then got bored.

[–] lowcountrytanned@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

I do. I charge it when I take a shower at night, brush my teeth, wash my face. Once I’m done with all of that and ready to read a bit before bed (or watch a few shows) the watch is completely charged and ready to go.

[–] Chairzard@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

I take it off to sleep. It's hard for me to sleep with it on.

[–] Mpulsive_Aries@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Yes except for when I go out to like dinner I switch.

[–] ari_wonders@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago
[–] strongr_togethr@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Yup. Only take it off to take shower and to charge. It's a watch, but you're supposed to wear it

[–] tooloud10@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Wear an Ultra for 23 hours/day and have a backup 8 SS that I wear when the Ultra is charging. Probably overkill, but I’m fine with that.
