Aspect ratio issue with movie (alien.top)

So just purchased the remastered Cinderella, on the preview it shows full screen 4K, however when playing the movie, no way it’s in 4K, and displays it at 4:3. Did Apple ripped me off?

Aspect ratio 1.37:1

1.37:1 (Academy ratio).

Only slightly wider than the 4:3 ratio used throughout the silent film era, the Academy Ratio was the standard film ratio in 1932 when “talkies” (aka, films with sound) began.

Resolution and aspect ratio are different things.

Wait until you find out that a ton of early digital movies that claim to be 4k are just upscaled 2k.
