Wife switched from Android, can I migrate our thread to iMessage? (alien.top)

Hey folks, googled around and couldn’t find a simple solution.

I’d like to migrate our text thread from SMS to IMessage to take advantage of features like Memojis and digital heartbeats etc. We’d really prefer not to delete the thread.

Is there a good way to do that?

If she has the same number it should just go through as an iMessage in the same thread. If she has a new number add it to her contact, but don’t delete her old number.

If she didn’t do it when she switched to iPhone, I don’t think you can do it afterwards.
