Hey all, I just have a question about Apple care

Hypothetically speaking, if someone were to crack the back of their iPhone without having Apple care, but a still within the period to purchase AppleCare, would they be able to buy it and then bring their phone in?

Thank you

Yes. While mostly viewed as morally wrong/ethically gray, or fraud even, that’s your decision to make.

Apple has no way of knowing… your friend just got lucky having damaged their phone within the first 60 days.

No they can’t check if you buy your protection after you broke your phone but before the 60 day timeframe. Just buy it, and give it a few days and go get it replaced. No questions asked.

Ethically and legally a grey area, but yes - go ahead. It'll work.
