notable free agent Montez Sweat who already signed a 4 year deal, nice job like always CBS

We must go higher
The fact that they don’t have qb listed as the number one need for the patriots makes me doubt this list.
Hopefully the Panthers get the fired coach boost and beat the Bucs this weekend
If the Bears do anything other than MHJ + QB, they're morons.
Really going to need Cleveland to start losing games.
Why link to an article with a writer so lazy he cant even do basic research? Gary just signed a 4 year contract like a week ago, and is not a free agent next year. You would think CBS would be better than that, but I guess they spend all their time researching how to put more ads on their webpage.

doubtful. it would have been more useful if it was rather than looking like a textbook example of george carlin's "think how stupid the average person is, then remember half the population is dumber than that" line.
What’s bills legacy looking like if he ruins a top 2 qb pick? Let’s say he picks Caleb Williams and he does exactly the same shit for 3 years and the pats look awful. Still HoF and legend, but I don’t think I could call him the goat anymore.
Not listing QB as a Pats need is hilarious
Draft MHJ, roll out Mac for one more year for yet another top 3 pick. Its genius.
All fun and games until bill drafts a edge rusher in the first round
I think BB and the Pats are tanking on purpose at this point. They know they will draft top 3, and then try to make a trade with the Bears for Williams and I think the Bears will accept the trade.
In an absurd world I see them getting Fields somehow and getting something together. But this is me on drugs.
Sadly, it's not intentional. They really are that bad.
Why yes I am a Patriots and Cardinals fan. We do exist.
There's a world where they keep Fields and get both MHJ and Fashanu with these picks. Or they trade pick 1 for even more picks.
Just amazes me every year how at the draft every top QB is a sure fire franchise saver and then once they play their first game they're a guaranteed bust.
But the problem is a few of those sure fire guys do work out and your franchise is completely different.
It’s a dice roll but one that’s consistently worth it.
consistently worth it
Didn’t you just say that only “a few” of the players with this projection pan out? That’s the opposite of consistent value.
It’s consistently the thing that turns a team around if it works even if the hit rate isn’t consistent.
Well of all the positions to turn your team around QB is the most important, it’s just hard to play QB consistently well in the nfl.
I could actually see the Panthers winning meaningless games and the Bears having both picks in the 3-6 range, which means they'll stick with Fields next year.
I felt much better about the Panthers pick before they fired Reich.
According to this article, of the top ten picks only the Commanders at #5 and the Giants at #6 need a quarterback. So either this list is whack or there are going to be a lot of trades on draft day.
Jayden Daniels YOU are a New York Giant
Crazy how no matter how high some teams draft consistently they just don’t seem to get better.
Bucs are in that sweet spot of simultaneously contending for the NFC South title and the top pick next year
Bucs are in that sweet spot of simultaneously contending for the NFC South title and the top pick next year
honestly, wouldn't be surprised if lots of the fanbase wants to see them miss the playoffs.
makes it easier to move on from bowles AND making the playoffs locks them into probably the 18th pick of the draft since the 14 playoff teams draft last.
I feel like these lists just throw QB in as a need when they're too lazy to actually figure out what's wrong with a team. Sam Howell annoys the heavy out of me on occasion, but QB is not a huge concern.
The Bears are the most interesting project in the NFL. They can get Caleb Williams and the best OT in the draft to protect him. Already have a top receiver to throw to. I feel like the Bears could be the best NFC team over the next 10 years.
If they land Harbaugh it’s on
Imagine the shitstorm if BB drafts a bust at QB.
The rest of our schedule is chock-full of winnable games. I wouldn't be surprised if we end the season 7-10. In which case, yay us. Right back to blissful perpetual mediocrity.
Doesn't matter as long as the Panthers maintain the tank.
The bears legit should be 6-6 right now. They blew wins against the Broncos and Lions thanks to horrible coaching.
I think I'm all aboard the fire Flus, keep Poles train.
I'm cool rolling with Fields again next year as well. Get a new coach in place, trade back Carolina's pick to fill out the roster some more and let the new coach help pick his new QB if Fields still can't figure it out with a better roster in place.
F.T.A:
- New England Patriots (2-9)
Team needs: OT, DT, TE, WR, LB
there is a glaring omission from their "team needs" list. like, one Quick look should make it oBvious what's missing here.
Zappe Believers are real!
The kid sucks too, the Patriots literally dont have a NGL caliber qb
Pats will trade back 3 times and take a right guard from University of Southern Montana
But how many 7th round picks did we get from trading back though?
lol with bill’s drafting tho.
Bill will be long gone by draft day lol
Whos this Pat guy? He wants a lot of shit.
Lol
Game-changer… I mean, if Belichik is still making draft decisions it will be another bust
We could have 3 top-5 picks, I still wouldn’t feel comfortable if it’s Bill calling the shots. The entire roster construction philosophy must change.
