You don't even know how much I've been wanting this, especially since this already existed for Plex

That's exactly how I felt, too

I'd love to see a QT6/KDE version of this

Super cool! Appreciate the effort that went into it.

Choice is good, I guess, although I'm perfectly happy with the official linux and windows clients. Works really well and plays very smoothly on my old laptop and desktop.

The official app works fine for me. Using it right now as we speak. Nonetheless, I'll give it a try.

Anyone know where I can get a client like this for ARM?

[–] d_k_bo@feddit.de 6 points 2 years ago (1 children)

It is also available for aarch64

Sorry I guess I'm ignorant. I searched and got:

Yes, aarch64 indeed works for ARM. AArch64 is just another name for ARMv8, the architecture that most modern ARM-based processors use. ARMv64 or AArch64 implies a 64-bit architecture, which most modern devices use nowadays. If something is available for AArch64, that means it can be used on devices with ARMv8 (or new) processors.

So what is your question? It works on newer ARM devices but not on older ones.

No you answered it, I was just providing more details. Thanks

Apps like these make Linux feel like it's not just a 2nd rate OS for old laptops.
