LMFAO should show us how easy it is to get a hit on radio with the right connections. They got some of the most generic EDM pop hits to the top of the charts purely though the power of their surnames back in the early 2010s.

Reminds me of Tony Hawk. The old school skaters like alba, Duane Peter's, hasoi, were rebels who were all about style, hawk was a trick machine with a skateboard coach. Also his dad was like the head judge at all his contests. Super successful, but kind of a weasel how he made it to the top.

I mean Tony was doing some genuinely novel and cool things. I'm not surprised he's a California fail son, but he was flipping and spinning in a way that was new to the sport. All these other dudes had long limbs and they'd reach down and grab their boards mid air. Tony was not a tall guy so he learned to tuck himself up in a ball. Genuinely impressed the old heads.

Okay I admit I got that from a Tony Hawk documentary. And I think that when was when he was like 14 so that's probably before his growth spurt.

Someone very close to me used a credit card to buy a T Swift Eras ticket. $1200 to watch someone on a Megatron.

In 1996 I tried to buy 3 tickets to see Metallica and others at a festival here in the UK. £60 a ticket was too steep for me to afford it.

The funniest Taylor Swift fact that i know is that she used to babysit Jeff Jarrett's kids.

She went to high school with Nick Roman from Regular Car Reviews and iirc they were in a production of The Sound of Music together

It's a small world etc. etc.

Absolutely a great channel, though.

“She is failing upwards,” I say about the insanely talented billionaire who is massively admired around the world and strikes gold with every pressing

Like her or not you can’t in good conscience say she’s failing. Haters are just jealous imo. I am also a hater bc I am jealous btw but let’s be real with ourselves here
