This has more words than the entire run of SvS.

I'm old enough to understand this reference.

White spy...had a hard life.

[–] triclops6@lemmy.ca 28 points 2 years ago (2 children)

The black spy died more often though

[–] abbotsbury@lemmy.world 9 points 2 years ago

Systemic racism in the spy community

[–] AVincentInSpace@pawb.social 1 points 2 years ago (1 children)

Did he? I'm pretty sure they alternated white spy winning and black spy winning every single strip

(except for the rare Spy vs Spy vs Spy comics where the gray spy always won, which I thought was a bit bullshit)

[–] triclops6@lemmy.ca 1 points 2 years ago

They did alternate but white won more often than not, now I'm going back to the old runs for reference

God damn I need to watch this again.

[–] BananaOnionJuice@lemmy.dbzer0.com 3 points 2 years ago (1 children)

It's one of those movies you look forward to rewatching.

Like Dune (1984), some years go by and then I start humming the score, then it's time for a rewatch.

[–] kurwa@lemmy.world 3 points 2 years ago (2 children)

I've actually never seen Dune, (the original or the new one) I got the book so that I could read it first. I should really finish that so these I could watch em.

Dune 84 is a genuinely bad movie but it looks and sounds great. Dune Part 1 is just an amazing movie.

[–] ChicoSuave@lemmy.world 2 points 2 years ago

The book is required to understand happening in Dune 84 but not for 2021. Dune 84 has great visuals and moments but is baffling without an external guide to the narrative.

Loved those comics as a kid, but what does it have to do with mgs4 tho?

[–] trucy@lemmy.blahaj.zone 4 points 2 years ago

In MGS4, Liquid snake and Solid snake are effing old and fight each other, as they always did for most of their lives.
