Blood Meridian is one of the few books that I think fundamentally changed how I see the world.

Few people have done more to conserve punctuation for the rest of us. He may have single handedly saved the semi-colon from extinction, may he rest in peace.

I've not read much of his work but Blood Meridian was nothing quite like anything else I've read. I owned my copy for years and tried multiple times to get into it. The 4th time it finally stuck and managed to get through the entire thing. It was certainly an experience, I'm still not even sure I really enjoyed it. Though, its definitely stuck with me and one day I'll read it again.

Safe to say that Cormac left a massive impact on writing and was doing something entirely his own. I'll have to read more of his work now
