I moved to Germany and it's very odd here because everyone expresses they want to consume less animal products and are really nice about me being vegan but I got harassed so much for it I still find it troublesome to tell anyone at all so I usually just avoid eating. :|

In my experience, people don't admit to wanting to reduce, because they "already don't eat a lot of animal products anyway! And If I do, I only buy high quality!"

it is so true. They become sudden "experts" on the topic they know nothing about. It is the field people believe they know everything about without any formal training needed.

lowkey had a roommate ask me wether I 'could' eat broccoli... took him a solid half minute to realize all vegetables are in fact vegan
